AV Design Engineer

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 a year

What you will do

• Design audiovisual systems for conference rooms, auditoriums, and collaboration spaces
• Develop 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings including signal flow diagrams, rack elevations, and floor plans
• Create schematics and technical documentation for installation teams
• Collaborate with sales, project managers, and field engineers to meet client requirements and timelines
• Provide technical support during pre-sales, execution, and installation
• Review architectural drawings and select AV equipment based on standards

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in audiovisual system design or engineering
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD for 2D and 3D drawings
• Solid knowledge of AV systems, signal flow, audio, video, control, and UC systems
• Hands-on experience with Crestron, Extron, Kramer, BiAmp, Shure, Polycom, Vaddio
• Ability to read architectural and construction drawings
• Strong communication, documentation skills, and ability to manage multiple projects

Nice to have

• CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I certification
• Experience in enterprise, education, healthcare, or government environments
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, or other UC platforms
• Experience with bids, proposals, and client presentations
