Program Quality Engineer (Automotive)

TL;DR

Program Quality Engineer (Automotive): Coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure customer-focused quality targets and developing Vehicle Program Quality Plans with an accent on software issue arbitration and risk assessment. Focus on driving root cause analysis for test fleets, managing high-fidelity evaluations, and ensuring high-quality vehicle launches.

Location: Hybrid (Warren, MI) - Must report to office at least 3 times per week

What you will do

• Partner with the Chief Engineer and Program Team to drive priorities and achieve Quality targets.
• Lead risk assessments for new content and develop mitigation plans aligned with customer expectations.
• Manage the Captured Test Fleet (CTF) and lead cross-functional teams to rapidly resolve identified issues.
• Execute High-Fidelity evaluations, CXCRs, and 4-corner rides to confirm design and customer experience.
• Drive CTF issue management including GIMS/PRTS ownership and root cause investigation.
• Represent the Voice of Customer and Quality in key Program Team forums.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, manufacturing, or product engineering.
• Experience in the automotive or closely related industry.
• Must be authorized to work in the US; no immigration sponsorship is provided.
• Ability to travel up to 25% and work across multiple locations (SLC, Warren, Milford).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with Electrification and Electric Vehicle program execution.
• DFSS or Red X certification.
• Ability to collect and interpret vehicle CAN, Qualifier, and OnStar data.
• Experience using neoVI tools for electrical and vehicle data acquisition.
• Assembly plant or new-vehicle launch experience.
