Process Technician - 1st Shift

TL;DR

Process Technician - 1st Shift (Automotive): Fitment and installation of automotive components using error proofing equipment, torque guns, and assembly tools with an accent on safety and mechanical processes. Focus on diagnosing and troubleshooting issues during vehicle builds, reading process documents and drawings, and achieving deliverables with minimal supervision.

Location: Onsite full-time at GM Defense Production Facility in Concord, North Carolina (1st shift: four 10-hour days, Monday-Thursday). No immigration sponsorship (H-1B, OPT, etc.). Must be U.S. Person or eligible for export control authorization. Relocation benefits may be available.

What you will do

• Daily use of assembly tools, processes, torque guns, and error proofing equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues during vehicle builds
• Read automotive process documents and drawings
• Perform tasks to achieve production deliverables
• Handle multiple tasks with little to no supervision
• Provide suggestions and guidance to teammates

Requirements

• HS diploma with relevant work experience, technical training, or certifications
• 5+ years automotive experience in vehicle/component assembly
• Ability to work 1st shift (4x10s, Mon-Thu)
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to follow sequencing
• Basic computer skills and terminology awareness

Nice to have

• Associates degree
• Armoring experience
• Military experience
• 2+ years in machine shop fabrication, automotive assembly, or prototype vehicle builds
