What you will do

• Prepare, edit, and rewrite comprehensive copy in both English and German across various industry verticals.
• Correct errors in spelling, grammar, and syntax to ensure high-quality output.
• Adapt tone and complexity of content to align with target audiences and relevant style guides.
• Perform rigorous fact-checking of all dates, names, statistics, and facts.
• Identify and implement improvements to the structure and flow of content.
• Act as the final approval authority for assigned client copy and incorporate feedback from teams and clients.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience creating and editing content for both German and English-speaking brands.
• 2-3 years of experience in an editor role at a digital publication, industry blog, or agency.
• Strong attention to detail with a heavy focus on AP style.
• Proven experience writing and editing digital content such as long-form guides, infographics, and thought leadership pieces.
• Extensive knowledge of niche topics in health, legal, finance, and/or tech industries.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and ability to work independently to meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• 4-year degree in German, English, journalism, or a related field.
• Intermediate SEO knowledge and familiarity with SEO tools to improve website performance.
• Experience collaborating with design teams and providing guidance on UX best practices.
