What you will do

  • Prepare, edit, and rewrite comprehensive copy in English and French across industry verticals with minimal supervision
  • Correct errors in spelling, grammar, syntax, and adapt tone to audience and style guides
  • Fact-check all dates, names, statistics, and facts
  • Improve content structure and flow
  • Provide final approval on client copy and implement feedback
  • Deliver solutions to grow clients' online presence

Requirements

  • Close attention to detail with heavy focus on AP style
  • Experience writing/editing web content like long-form guides, infographics, how-tos, roundups, comparisons, trend reports
  • Extensive knowledge of health, legal, finance, and/or tech industries
  • Goal-oriented, able to prioritize, meet deadlines, work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills for remote collaboration
  • Experience with Google Workspace
  • 2-3 years creating/editing content for French and English-speaking companies
  • 2-3 years in editor role at digital publications, news sites, blogs, or agencies

Nice to have

  • 4-year degree in French, English, journalism or related field
  • Intermediate SEO knowledge and tools
  • Experience with design teams on UX best practices
