What you will do

• Implement scalable image processing solutions for healthcare using DICOM standards, including Store, Query/Retrieve, and Modality Worklist services.
• Develop and verify algorithms for compression, segmentation, contour detection, target detection, tracking, and 3D image processing.
• Configure DICOM environments, migrate data, and build integrations using IHE XDS for system interoperability.
• Design distributed systems, data pipelines, platform APIs, and enhance software for augmented/virtual reality experiences.
• Drive full features from analysis to deployment, mentor juniors, and maintain patient data privacy/security.

Requirements

• 5+ years in development/integration of complex imaging systems or medical image diagnosis software.
• Experience developing with C# and/or C++.
• 3+ years DICOM development/troubleshooting and strong knowledge of DICOM standards (e.g., dcm4che, Orthanc servers).
• Prior experience with healthcare components (PACS, VNA, RIS) and workflows.
• B.S. in Computer Science or related; M.S./Ph.D. preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with HL7, DICOM tools (DCMTK, JDICOM, OpenDICOM), debugging native DLLs/binary formats.
• Work with containers/Kubernetes.
