Location: Hybrid – remote with travel to head office (UK) and around the network

What you will do

• Own the corporate narrative, tone of voice, and organisation-wide communications strategy.
• Lead integrated internal and external communications to strengthen brand, impact, and income growth.
• Develop strategic messaging to support organisational transformation and long-term objectives.
• Lead media relations, press engagement, and manage external agency support and spokespeople.
• Drive stakeholder engagement, partnerships, and policy influence while scanning for emerging risks.
• Manage crisis communications strategy and leverage heritage archives for impactful storytelling.

Requirements

• Proven track record of delivering strategic communications within a complex national organisation.
• Experience leading media relations, PR campaigns, and reputation management.
• High-level writing, editing, and content-planning skills with a creative, audience-focused approach.
• Ability to influence and advise senior leaders, providing constructive challenge.
• Skill in identifying reputational risks and recommending strategic responses.
• Ability to travel to the head office and around the network as required.
