Legal Counsel (Commercial)

TL;DR

Legal Counsel (Commercial) (SaaS): Provide commercial legal support for revenue-generating deals, partnerships, and technology supply arrangements with an accent on risk mitigation, compliance, and stakeholder collaboration. Focus on driving global contracting standards, implementing governance policies, and integrating AI tools like LLMs into daily legal practice.

Location: Must have right to work in Spain and be based within commuting distance of our hubs (in-person 3 days a week)

What you will do

• Drive standards in commercial contracting across global teams
• Handle delegated corporate matters with wide autonomy
• Identify and mitigate risks proactively in collaboration with teams
• Implement and tune policies for global governance and compliance using technology
• Interact with external lawyers and build relationships with business stakeholders

Requirements

• Legal qualification: Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in Spain (Abogado/a colegiado/a)
• Language: Minimum C1 fluency in both Spanish and English
• Right to work: Existing right to work in Spain
• 2–5 years PQE with demonstrable commercial contracting experience (law firm or in-house)
• Curiosity and capability with AI tools (LLMs, Claude, Gemini) and regulatory landscape (EU AI Act)
