Facilities Management Representative: Serve as the single point of contact and “building owner” for assigned facilities at Flint Assembly, covering maintenance, housekeeping, and roads & grounds with an accent on service contracts, compliance, and workspace transformation. Focus on strategic planning, preventive maintenance for key systems, and project execution aligned with safety and environmental standards.
Location: Onsite in Flint, Michigan. GM does not provide immigration sponsorship. Eligible for relocation benefits.

What you will do
- Act as primary interface for facilities-related activities, ensuring timely maintenance and housekeeping.
- Maintain communication between tenants and leadership, resolving issues and planning facility needs.
- Drive optimization for space utilization, energy efficiency, and service performance.
- Oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades for building systems like power, security, and fire systems.
- Manage facilities projects using GM procurement systems, including scope, costs, and vendor work.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and purchasing processes.
Requirements
- 3+ years in Facility/Building Systems, Plant Management, or Property Management
- Experience managing safety-related service contracts, vendor performance, OSHA compliance, and risk mitigation
- Knowledge of business software (Microsoft Office, Corrigo, Maximo, Power BI)
- Strong communication skills across all organization levels
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and off-hours
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Facilities Management
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Customer-focused mindset and stakeholder relationship building
- Autonomous work and prioritization in high-demand settings
- Team leadership and problem-solving skills
- Track record of successful project execution
