Location: Hybrid with 2-3 days per week onsite in New York, San Francisco, or Salt Lake City headquarters; relocation assistance available for candidates outside NY/NJ/SF/SLC area.

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 USD (Tier 1: NYC/SF); geographic pay differential for other U.S. locations.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain core narrative and messaging framework across media, partners, and public communications
• Own PR agency relationship, set strategy, brief priorities, and ensure measurable outcomes
• Lead proactive media engagement: press outreach, executive profiles, thought leadership, announcements
• Partner with executives on talking points, media training, and interview preparation
• Lead communications during sensitive/high-stakes situations with clear responses
• Monitor fintech/consumer finance media coverage and shape industry narratives
• Build and scale the communications function as company grows

Requirements

• 10+ years communications experience in fintech, financial services, or regulated consumer industry
• Proven track record managing PR agencies for strategic outcomes
• Experience in high-stakes/adversarial media environments
• Confident spokesperson comfortable on-record, on-camera, public representation
• Ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear narratives
• Thrives in fast-moving environments, strategic and hands-on execution
