TL;DR
Director, Strategy & Operations (Housing): Partner with GM of Housing and functional leaders to define priorities, roadmaps, and operating plans, translating high-level goals into executable systems with an accent on cross-functional coordination and strategic execution. Focus on owning end-to-end high-impact initiatives, distilling progress into executive memos, and continuously optimizing divisional processes.
Hybrid position with on-site expectations of 3 days per week in New York Headquarters. For candidates outside NY/NJ area, eligible for relocation assistance program.
Base salary $216,000–$270,000 USD (Tier 1 markets: NYC/SF/Seattle); adjusted for other U.S. locations.

What you will do
- Partner with GM of Housing and functional leaders to define divisional priorities, roadmaps, and operating plans aligned with company strategy
- Build operating systems for cross-functional coordination and execution
- Own end-to-end strategic initiatives from strategy development through execution and measurable outcomes
- Prepare executive-facing monthly memos and facilitate strategic review meetings
- Communicate with senior stakeholders and navigate complex problems
- Improve processes, streamline collaboration, and identify operational optimizations
Requirements
- 8+ years professional experience, ideally in management consulting and/or high-growth startup Strategy, Business Operations, or Chief of Staff roles
- Entrepreneurial mindset thriving in ambiguity and fast-paced 0-to-1 building
- Exceptional conceptual thinking to move from strategy to execution
- Highly collaborative with strong influence skills
- Strong bias for action, attention to detail, and quantitative skills including advanced financial modeling, analysis, budgeting, forecasting
- Excellent written and verbal communication for executive materials
