TL;DR

Fullstack Java/React Developer (Java/React): Building and delivering full-lifecycle web and mobile applications for a variety of clients, primarily in the public sector, with an accent on API design, front-end UI crafting, and system architecture. Focus on translating ambiguous client requirements into best-practice patterns and ensuring high levels of accessibility and testability.

Location: Portland, Maine (Onsite)

What you will do

  • Develop full-stack features throughout the entire application lifecycle, from requirement analysis to documentation.
  • Design and implement secure REST interfaces and GraphQL schemas.
  • Craft responsive user interfaces using React and React Native.
  • Define performant data structures, entity relationships, and server-side functionality.
  • Collaborate in a truly Agile environment using Scrum or Kanban to deliver high-quality products.
  • Mentor less experienced developers and translate complex client needs into technical tasks.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Java with Spring Boot for backend development.
  • Strong experience with React and React Native for frontend and mobile development.
  • Knowledge of software design patterns, refactoring techniques, and branching strategies.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards, unit testing, and integration testing.
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, and TypeScript.
  • Ability to work onsite in Portland, Maine.

Nice to have

  • Experience with NextJS, JPA, Liquibase, Tailwind, Ant Design, or Material UI.
  • Familiarity with headless CMS, A/B testing, NoSQL, or JamStack solutions.
  • Experience with Sass and Gradle.
