What you will do

• Elicit requirements through interviews, workshops, and Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions.
• Create information architectures, wireframes, page mockups, and prototypes.
• Develop CSS that ensures consistency across all browsers and platforms.
• Maintain and enforce design standards, branding, and usability best practices.
• Refactor and modernize legacy web applications.
• Collaborate with developers and SMEs to balance usability with performance needs.

Requirements

• BS degree in information systems, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of demonstrated success as a web designer.
• 2+ years of experience with responsive and adaptive design.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience with Human-Centered Design (HCD) processes and screen mockup tools.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills for professional interaction with executives and managers.

Nice to have

• Experience with large government technology projects.
• Experience with Java, JSF 2.1/2.2, and PrimeFaces.
• Experience with .NET framework including C#.
• Experience designing mobile applications.
