Location: Full-time remote in National, CA with possible travel to Sacramento, California.

What you will do

• Develop and enforce templates, guidelines, standards, and human-centered design principles.
• Plan, manage, and execute usability tests for major releases.
• Collaborate with client experts and cross-functional teams to create scenarios, profiles, screeners, and prototypes.
• Drive usability improvements based on constituent and employee feedback.
• Ensure designs perform as intended in real-life scenarios with project teams.
• Present usability findings and deliverables to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Graphic Design, Interaction/Visual Design, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years applying Human Factors and Human-Centered Design (HCD) principles to complex interfaces.
• Minimum 4 years in visual interface design for web and mobile digital media.
• Minimum 4 years planning, executing, and analyzing user experience research projects.
• Minimum 4 years communicating research, design concepts, data analysis, and usability results to stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal skills to lead design sessions and reviews; excellent verbal/written communication.

Nice to have

• Previous State of California experience.
• Minimum 1 year with Ovo Studios CaptureUX.
• Minimum 1 year implementing California Statewide usability standards, Web Usability Guidelines, and Governor’s Template.
