What you will do

• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into detailed software designs.
• Code, test, debug, document, implement, and maintain software applications.
• Lead application development teams and provide technical guidance to staff.
• Establish the technical vision and evaluate tradeoffs between usability and performance.
• Identify and suggest new technologies to improve or streamline existing systems and processes.
• Write technical procedures and documentation, including operations guides and system specifications.

Requirements

• BS degree in information systems, software engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience with Java N-Tier architectures and web-based application technologies.
• Proficiency in HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, JSF, and AJAX.
• Strong knowledge of SQL programming and database access methods.
• 7+ years of experience as a Java Application Developer using SOAP and Web Services.
• Deep expertise in SDLC, Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), and UML.

Nice to have

• Experience with Government technology projects.
• Expertise in Hibernate, HQL, or JPA.
• Knowledge of JAAS, JMX, and JAXB.
• Experience with EJB 3.0, CDI, and JSF 2.1/2.2.
• Proficiency with Java unit testing frameworks like JUnit and Easy Mock.
