What you will do

• Own and evolve the data platform using Dagster, dbt, AWS ECS, and Google BigQuery.
• Develop custom tooling, monitoring, and data-quality checks to improve data team efficiency.
• Maintain and optimize high-volume ELT pipelines moving terabytes of data from MySQL to BigQuery.
• Manage critical reporting infrastructure that serves as the foundation for executive board decisions.
• Apply software engineering best practices including CI/CD, testing, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data reliability and performance.

Requirements

• Substantial experience in Data Engineering and Software Engineering with high-volume, business-critical pipelines.
• Deep practical experience with Dagster, dbt, Google BigQuery, and AWS.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure setups including Docker and Terraform/CloudFormation.
• Business fluent in English (C1 level).
• Ability to work onsite in Hamburg, Germany.
