TL;DR

Senior Accounts Payable Accountant: Own the full invoice lifecycle from receipt to posting, including matching, GL coding, and cost allocation, with an accent on monthly closings, vendor reconciliations, and process improvements. Focus on analyzing AP data for insights, ensuring VAT compliance, and preparing payment runs.

Location: Vilnius (4 days onsite, 1 flexible day remote); Kaunas (onsite, hybrid, or remote options); hubs in Klaipėda and Riga.

Gross salary range: 2200–4000 EUR/month.

What you will do

  • Own full invoice lifecycle including 2-way/3-way matching, GL coding, and cost center allocation
  • Handle AP accruals, vendor reconciliations, and aging discrepancies for closings
  • Improve AP processes for accuracy, efficiency, and automation
  • Resolve vendor issues and payment blocks with internal teams
  • Ensure invoice compliance with policies and VAT treatments
  • Analyze AP data and aging reports for decision-making insights
  • Prepare payment run proposals for review

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • At least 3 years in Accounts Payable or P2P processes
  • Experience with MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems (SAP, Navision, Oracle)
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective time management to meet strict deadlines independently
  • Clear communication in Lithuanian and English with non-financial stakeholders
