What you will do

• Design the end-to-end architecture for the operational data platform using Kafka, Debezium, and Flink.
• Collaborate with partner teams to define reference architectures and canonical data models.
• Establish and enforce data governance frameworks and internal/external access controls (RBAC) adhering to HIPAA compliance.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of real-time data technologies aligned with compliance needs.
• Provide technical coaching and mentorship to Data Producer and Consumer teams.
• Identify architectural risks and serve as the authority for complex design decisions regarding cost, time, and complexity.

Requirements

• 8-15 years of experience architecting large-scale data integrations and streaming pipelines in cloud environments.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Kafka, Flink, and Debezium, including stateful stream processing.
• Extensive experience with AWS.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python; foundational knowledge of JVM-based languages like Java.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting with deep knowledge of HIPAA and ePHI requirements.
• Must be based in the United States for regulatory and benefits compliance.
