TL;DR

Sr SW Engineer (Corporate Banking) (Golang): Develop and maintain scalable, reliable services for corporate banking structures serving large enterprises and global banks with an accent on microservices architectures, AWS cloud infrastructure, and event-driven systems. Focus on designing performant APIs, provisioning IaC with Terraform, implementing robust testing, and ensuring observability in distributed environments.

Location: Remote, must be based in Brazil. Remote positions may require presence at a Visa office with scheduled notice.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain scalable Golang services with JVM exposure, deployed on AWS.
  • Own full software lifecycle: planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Design microservices evaluating performance, reliability, and maintainability trade-offs.
  • Build and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, performance, end-to-end).
  • Provision cloud infrastructure with Terraform and monitor with logs, metrics, tracing.
  • Collaborate on code reviews, architecture discussions, and business requirements translation.

Requirements

  • Based in Brazil.
  • English proficiency at B1 level or above.
  • 5+ years as Software Engineer in production.
  • Strong Golang, Git, microservices in cloud, debugging distributed systems.
  • Testing expertise, API design (Swagger/OpenAPI), AWS (SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge).
  • IaC (Terraform), Docker, Kubernetes, databases, CI/CD, GitOps, observability.

Nice to have

  • Experience with mission-critical systems, financial/payments industry.
  • Observability tools, AWS certifications, AI-assisted development tools.
  • 3+ years with Bachelor’s or 2+ with advanced degree.
