Senior Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Senior Security Engineer (Cybersecurity): Protecting organisation's digital assets, infrastructure, and data through design, implementation, and maintenance of security systems with an accent on SIEM monitoring, EDR administration, vulnerability management, and incident response. Focus on developing security automation, managing IAM and SaaS security, conducting risk assessments, and embedding best practices across technology initiatives.

Location: Hybrid (UK region, in-office presence required 1-2 days per week)

What you will do

• Monitor SIEM platform and security alerts, investigate and respond to threats using EDR (Crowdstrike).
• Lead incident response, including containment, remediation, and post-incident analysis.
• Manage vulnerability scanning, prioritisation, remediation, and risk assessments.
• Configure IAM solutions, oversee SaaS security posture, and manage DLP technologies (Code42, Google Workspace).
• Develop security automation, support network security, and contribute to AI security initiatives.
• Develop security policies, provide guidance to teams, and stay current with emerging threats.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or IT, relevant certifications (CISSP, CCSP, Security+), or 3-5 years in security engineering
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR (Crowdstrike), vulnerability management, IAM, SaaS security, and DLP tools
• Strong networking, security architecture, and security automation/scripting experience
• Cloud security concepts understanding beneficial
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
