Senior Mechanical Engineer (Mechanical Design): Designing and maintaining complex test environment systems for effector products with an accent on vibration, thermal, hydraulic, and electro-optical systems. Focus on integrating and validating test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements and evaluating production installations to eliminate malfunctions.

Location: Tucson, AZ. US Citizenship and an Active Secret Security Clearance are strictly required. No relocation package available.

Salary: $60 - $74 per hour (W2)

What you will do

• Research, plan, design, and develop mechanical test systems covering vibration, thermal, hydraulic, radio frequency, and electro-optical areas.
• Integrate and validate test systems to meet strict accuracy and reliability standards.
• Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to resolve malfunctions.
• Create comprehensive mechanical drawing packages for production environments.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance issued by the Department of Defense.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years of experience, or an Advanced Degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Minimum 5 years of technical experience in mechanical design or production support.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with CAD tools, specifically ProE / CREO Parametric.
• Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) analysis.

Nice to have

• Design experience with mechanical and electronic packaging.
• Experience with Configuration Management tools such as Windchill or cPDM.
• Experience with cable design using CREO Schematic.
