Location: Hybrid Mountain View, CA. Must be based in or be able to report to the Mountain View office 2-3 days per week.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end architecture for the cloud platform, spanning both the control plane and data plane.
• Design multi-tenant systems with strong isolation, security, and resource governance.
• Architect systems for tenant provisioning, lifecycle management, and cluster orchestration.
• Build high-throughput, low-latency data path components and enforce tenant isolation at the data layer.
• Set technical direction and coding standards for the platform team, addressing systemic risks in reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with SRE and DevOps on observability, capacity planning, and incident response.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building or operating multi-tenant SaaS platforms at scale.
• Proven experience with control plane/data plane separation and Kubernetes (operators, CRDs, RBAC).
• Deep expertise in AWS, GCP, or Azure, including IaC tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
• Strong grasp of distributed systems fundamentals, HA patterns, and observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Fluency in using AI coding assistants (Claude, Cursor, Copilot) to increase productivity and quality.
• Must be located in or able to work from the Mountain View, CA office under a hybrid model.

Nice to have

• Exposure to FinOps practices.
• Experience building and maintaining centralized logging pipelines and observability platforms.
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure or platform projects.
