What you will do

• Perform analysis and write code in Node.js and Golang to eliminate performance bottlenecks throughout the software stack.
• Develop scalable services to support billions of monthly logins in a production environment.
• Create decision records and RFCs to communicate technical tradeoffs and drive architectural consensus.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with service owners, architects, and platform teams to drive performance improvements.
• Partner with Staff engineers to optimize application architecture, implementation, and telemetry.
• Promote a "shift left" culture by increasing organizational awareness of performance management tools and patterns.

Requirements

• Senior software engineering experience working in a remote environment.
• Proficiency in Node.js (using frameworks like Hapi.js or Fastify) and familiarity with Golang.
• Experience with API-driven cloud-native distributed systems running in Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure.
• Hands-on experience with APM tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Honeycomb, New Relic, or Dynatrace.
• Practical experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Proven ability to design and execute performance experiments focusing on RPS, P95/P99 latency, and CPU/memory utilization.
