Consultant - Life Safety, Physical Environment, & Emergency Management (Healthcare): Delivering high-impact consulting services to healthcare organizations to ensure compliance with CMS and accrediting standards with an accent on Life Safety, Fire Safety, and Emergency Management. Focus on conducting on-site assessments, developing plans of correction, and implementing NFPA and Joint Commission requirements.
Location: Must be based in the US (Remote and Hybrid options available, specifically in the MidAtlantic region and other US regions)
Salary: $80,000 β $115,000 USD

What you will do
- Lead comprehensive on-site assessments and multi-day surveys of healthcare facilities to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Develop customized plans of correction based on NFPA, Joint Commission, CMS, and DNV requirements.
- Apply Emergency Management principles to hazard vulnerability analyses (HVAs), policy development, and simulation exercises.
- Deliver hands-on and classroom training in fire safety, fire response, and surgical fire prevention.
- Manage client engagements and build long-term strategic partnerships to ensure high satisfaction.
- Identify business growth opportunities and support the development of proposals and new service offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Fire Protection, Fire Science, Safety, Emergency Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare-related consulting or compliance experience focused on Life Safety and Emergency Management.
- Deep knowledge of NFPA 101 and associated standards (e.g., NFPA 13, 72, 25).
- Strong understanding of the CMS 2016 Emergency Preparedness Rule and accrediting body standards.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 50% (typically alternating weeks between home and client sites).
- Strong communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
