What you will do

• Assist with passive fire audits and appraisal of new and existing buildings.
• Assess building elements against the National Construction Code (BCA) and relevant Australian Standards.
• Prepare passive fire compliance reports, dilapidation reports, and rectification scopes.
• Participate in site inspections to review fire stopping systems and essential fire safety measures.
• Assist with the preparation of certification documentation and evidence of suitability assessments.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities under senior guidance.

Requirements

• Postgraduate qualification in Building Surveying or a related built environment discipline.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Current Class C driver’s licence and White Card (CPCCWHS1001) or willingness to obtain.
• Understanding of BCA performance requirements and Australian Standards.
• Strong written communication skills for preparing technical reports.
• Familiarity with construction processes and interest in Building Surveyor accreditation.

Nice to have

• Industry experience in construction, building compliance, or fire safety.
• Experience with Bluebeam, BQE Core, or similar software.
