Senior Customer Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Customer Engineer (Health API): Own full integration lifecycle from API onboarding to production data pipelines with an accent on debugging complex issues across distributed systems and building customer-specific reference implementations. What you will do

• Lead technical onboarding and architect integration patterns tailored to customer stacks, ensuring time-to-first-data from sandbox to production.
• Build and deliver reference implementations in Python, Node.js, and other languages for consuming normalized health data.
• Debug and resolve issues spanning hirify.global infrastructure, upstream providers, and customer endpoints, owning incident communication.
• Build internal tooling, automation, dashboards, and documentation to eliminate common customer pain points.
• Act as the voice of the customer, translating feedback into product requirements and participating in architecture reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years as software engineer, solutions engineer, or customer engineer at API-first or developer tools company.
• Deep fluency in REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, webhooks, WebSocket protocols, and HTTP debugging.
• Strong programming in at least two of: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Java; experience debugging distributed systems.
• Clear communication to explain complex issues to diverse stakeholders; default-to-yes attitude with ownership.

Nice to have

• Experience with health, fitness, or wearable data and data normalization challenges.
• Prior work in high-velocity startup; familiarity with HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, SOC 2.
• Real-time data streaming, event-driven architectures, or IoT pipelines; developer-facing docs/SDKs.
