Location: Hybrid in Vancouver, Canada (office attendance required 3 days a week)

Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 a year

What you will do

• Build and operate central services that influence all brands within the hirify.global portfolio.
• Implement and optimize high-volume RESTful API endpoints.
• Architect services using Java/Spring and maintain existing systems using C#/.NET Core on AWS.
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance, reliability, and scalability of central services.
• Deliver B2B (SaaS) software engineering, including technical documentation and observability.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive quality through frequent code reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a backend-focused software engineer.
• Strong expertise in Java/Spring or C#/.NET Core.
• Experience with AWS (EKS, SQS, DynamoDB) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Test Driven Development (TDD), RDBMS, and NoSQL databases.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid from the Vancouver office 3 days a week.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with engineers, PMs, and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in B2B/SaaS or Trust & Safety/Identity domains.
• Knowledge of Graph databases such as Neptune, Neo4J, or Gremlin.
• Experience in distributed cloud systems design and event-driven architecture.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot, Webflux/React, or GRPC.
