What you will do

• Own complex systems end-to-end, breaking down multi-quarter projects into executable tasks.
• Architect and scale production systems requiring low latency and high throughput.
• Maintain system health and architectural standards, acting as a first responder during incidents.
• Integrate AI tools and automation to optimize coding, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers through pairing, code reviews, and structured feedback.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and ML Research teams to align delivery with business goals.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of commercial software development experience shipping production systems.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or Go.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Must be based in New York to support a hybrid office schedule (4 days/week).
• Ability to explain complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
