Senior DevOps Engineer

TL;DR

Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure/Kubernetes): Design, implement, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and observability stacks for cybersecurity SaaS products with an accent on GitOps workflows, Kubernetes scaling, and secure deployments. Focus on operating large-scale distributed systems, defining SLOs/SLAs, automating operational tasks, and participating in incident management.

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid - candidates within 45 miles of office required onsite some days per week)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and improve CI/CD pipelines and release processes across product teams
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/Terragrunt, Helm, Kustomize, Bicep/ARM)
• Operate and scale Kubernetes clusters (AKS) with networking, storage, and service mesh
• Implement GitOps workflows with Argo CD for declarative deployments
• Deploy observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, OpenTelemetry) with SLOs/SLAs
• Manage resources, optimize costs, ensure security, automate tasks, and handle incidents with on-call rotation
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, security, and support teams; document procedures and decisions

Requirements

• 6+ years hands-on DevOps/SRE experience in large-scale SaaS or regulated environments
• Strong proficiency in programming/scripting (Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
• Solid experience with cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure preferred) and Kubernetes in production (AKS preferred)
• Proven CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), IaC tools (Terraform, Helm, Kustomize), GitOps (Argo CD preferred)
• Familiarity with observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, OpenTelemetry), cloud/container security
• Experience leading projects, debugging distributed systems, incident management, on-call rotation
• Strong problem-solving, communication, cross-functional collaboration skills

Nice to have

• Azure/Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD)/Security/Linux certifications
• Linux internals, networking knowledge; Windows/MS environments
• AI agents/LLMs for DevOps, MLOps, service mesh (Istio), event-driven architectures (Kafka)
• SBOM, supply chain security, compliance (ISO 27001, SOC 2)
• Master's/PhD in CS/Engineering or equivalent
