What you will do

• Plan and execute complex test strategies for large-scale gameplay systems and features.
• Collaborate with designers and programmers to identify quality risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Conduct comprehensive testing of combat, AI, player progression, and UI/UX systems.
• Develop and maintain detailed test cases and checklists for gameplay mechanics and system integration.
• Provide detailed feedback on mechanics feel, balance, pacing, and overall game flow.
• Mentor junior QA Analysts and present actionable insights to senior management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in gameplay QA, with 1-2 years in a senior or leadership role.
• Must be based in Boston, US.
• Proven track record of creating and executing test plans for complex gameplay systems.
• Experience using JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent bug-tracking and documentation tools.
• Deep understanding of gameplay systems within narrative-driven RPGs.
• Familiarity with commercial game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.

• Basic knowledge of automation tools or scripting for QA processes.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
