Security Architect (AI)

TL;DR

Security Architect (AI/Hardware): Designing end-to-end full system security architecture for AI datacenter chips across hardware and software with an accent on secure boot, key management, and isolation mechanisms. Focus on performing system-level threat modeling, defining mitigations, and balancing HW vs SW security tradeoffs.

Location: Hybrid; must be able to work from the Mountain View, CA office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday)

Salary: $120,000 – $400,000

hirify.global is partnering with a startup developing specialized chips and systems for AI workloads in datacenter deployments.

What you will do

• Identify security requirements and translate them into end-to-end system designs.
• Author security architecture and design documents across HW, FW, and SW.
• Perform system-level threat modeling and define corresponding mitigations.
• Evaluate and decide on HW vs. SW security placement and tradeoffs.
• Co-design secure systems, including secure boot, key management, and isolation.
• Lead cross-team security reviews and provide risk-based guidance to engineering leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in system, hardware, or HW/SW security.
• Experience defining security architectures and writing technical design docs.
• Strong knowledge of secure boot, encrypted communication, key negotiation, and reset isolation.
• Strong coding skills in Rust and/or C/C++, with proficiency in Python.
• Must be based in or be able to commute to Mountain View, CA for a hybrid schedule.
