RF Engineer (RF/AMS): Defines, designs, and develops complex radio frequency integrated circuits and creates verification test plans for RF validation in Process Design Kits with an accent on transistor level feasibility analysis, floorplan and layout for RF circuit architecture. Focus on verifying and debugging designs to meet specifications, applying electromagnetic theory, communication theory, and RF system analysis.
Location: US, Oregon, Hillsboro (primary); additional locations: US, California, Santa Clara; US, Texas, Austin; US, Arizona, Phoenix. Hybrid work model (split time on-site and off-site).

What you will do
- Define, design, and develop complex RF integrated circuits and verification test plans in Process Design Kits.
- Conduct transistor-level feasibility analysis, define floorplans and layouts for RF circuit architecture.
- Create test benches, verify and debug designs to meet specifications.
- Review system specifications to ensure compliance with customer needs, codes, and standards.
- Design product concepts and prototypes, create circuit design drawings, develop and analyze test procedures.
- Apply RF system analysis, block characterization, lab measurements, sil2sim, sim2sim, data collection and reporting.
Requirements
- MS degree with 3+ years or PhD with 1+ years in Computer/Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience with Design and Testing Integrated Circuits with AMS/RF fundamentals
- Device Physics and knowledge of Advanced IC Technologies
- Working with Process Design Kits and Collaterals development
- Cadence Virtuoso, Siemens and/or Synopsys IC Design tools
- Familiar with two or more: Unix Shell, Python, Skill, Tcl, Pcell, Ocean scripting
Nice to have
- Design Automation and CAD experience
- foundry Process Design Kits and GAA technologies
- Analog/RF circuit simulation and DRC/LVS/EXT/FILL flows in custom CMOS designs
- Lab experience with high frequency instruments (VNA, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer)
- LabView or Matlab, Statistical analysis tools (JMP)
- RF/mmWave circuits (PA, LNA, VCO) and/or AMS (DAC/ADC)
