(Senior) Physical Design Engineer (SerDes/UCIe): Support full RTL2GDSII implementation flow and physical design verification for state-of-the-art interface IP and test chips with an accent on porting IP to new technology nodes and improving internal methodologies. Location: Hybrid in Mannheim (Germany) or Villach (Austria); Remote from Greece, Italy, Austria, Germany. Open to other EU countries or ready for relocation with support; Visa assistance for non-EU applicants.

What you will do

• Support full RTL2GDSII implementation flow and physical design verification for SerDes/UCIe interface IP and test chips.
• Port IP to new technology nodes/metal stacks, addressing challenges and finding optimal solutions.
• Improve internal methodology through trials with latest EDA tools and enhancements.
• Collaborate with analog design team for seamless integration into digital flow.

Requirements

• Hybrid in Mannheim/Villach or remote from Germany/Austria/Greece/Italy; open to EU relocation/visa support.
• Experience in physical implementation and EDA tools from major vendors.
• 2+ years relevant professional experience.
• Fundamentals of RTL design in Verilog or SystemVerilog.
• Knowledge of modern CMOS technologies.
• Scripting experience in TCL.
