What you will do

• Define and execute category strategy for Research & Preclinical services, aligning with R&D pipeline and Global Procurement objectives.
• Act as strategic partner to Global Research & Preclinical Development leadership, translating needs into sourcing and contracting strategies.
• Manage supplier relationships, sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and performance governance with key CROs and providers.
• Ensure cost predictability, risk mitigation, GxP compliance, and integration of ESG criteria.
• Collaborate with other Category Leads for consistency and best practices across R&D procurement.

Requirements

• University degree in scientific, economic or other disciplines.
• Preferably 6+ years in Pharmaceutical/Biotech procurement with expertise in Preclinical Outsourcing or Category Management; open to junior profiles
• Strong understanding of Research & Preclinical development and external service models.
• Proven experience in complex contract negotiations and supplier governance.
• Ability to operate in global, cross-functional matrix organization with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Nice to have

• Exposure to early-stage R&D or non-clinical development.
• Experience with strategic partnerships and long-term supplier models.
• Familiarity with ESG, sustainability or responsible sourcing in R&D.
