Senior Accountant

TL;DR

Senior Accountant (GAAP): Ensuring accounting policies implementation and adherence, performing general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting with an accent on monthly/year-end closes, audits, and process improvements. Focus on collaborating with operational units, preparing financial statements, supporting budgeting, and training team members.

Hybrid in Belle Plaine, MN (must be able to travel to other hirify.global locations periodically)

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000

What you will do

• Perform general ledger accounting including journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations
• Participate in monthly and year-end close processes and assist with financial audits
• Review revenue and expenses, identify adjustments, and prepare financial statements
• Collaborate with operational business units and finance team for accurate financial data
• Identify process and system improvements, recommend solutions, and assist with implementation
• Support FP&A with budgeting and train other staff members

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience as Senior Accountant in private or public accounting; manufacturing exposure preferred
• Working knowledge of GAAP, P&L reporting, financial analysis, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Intermediate MS Excel, Google Suite, experience with Oracle, SAP or similar
• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods and travel periodically
