Salary: from $90K plus 10% bonus and benefits

What you will do

• Prepare and review complex monthly financial statements and reports at local and corporate levels.
• Collaborate with corporate staff on monthly close processes, journal entries, and insurance-related reconciliations.
• Analyze transactions and general ledger accounts, recommending reclassifications or adjustments.
• Provide advice on accounting classifications for balance sheet and income statement presentation.
• Offer leadership and support to financial staff on reporting issues and process improvements.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and interact with internal/external auditors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting.
• Minimum of five years of related work experience with a public company preferred.
• CPA or pursuing CPA certification preferred.
• Insurance industry experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, statutory accounting, Microsoft Office, Oracle, and Workday.
• Analytical skills, time management, and ability to handle multiple projects.
