What you will do

• Architect and test deep learning models (transformers, embeddings, NNs) to define credit risk understanding.
• Partner with Engineering and Product to scale models for real-world effectiveness.
• Identify root causes of data problems and translate insights into actionable lending solutions.
• Own full project lifecycle from hypothesis to outcome measurement.
• Mentor team on deep learning and share findings to advance methodologies.
• Define success metrics focused on model accuracy and improved customer financial outcomes.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and deploying deep learning models (NNs, embeddings, transformers) with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Applied ML experience in complex real-world problems, ideally financial services like credit or lending.
• First-principles problem-solving with trade-off analysis.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong drive aligned with mission to enable fair credit access.
