What you will do

• Provide architectural leadership for the design and delivery of scalable, high-performance systems for enterprise-wide data mastering.
• Define and communicate technical strategies and roadmaps for major platform initiatives, aligning them with business priorities.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to engineering teams, guiding the modernization of platform capabilities.
• Identify architectural risks and tradeoffs early to ensure platform reliability and scalability.
• Mentor senior engineers to foster architectural thinking and technical excellence across the organization.
• Evaluate AI trends and integrate AI-enabled/agentic systems to automate workflows and augment decision-making.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to work from Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid)
• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of proven experience in software systems design and delivery.
• Advanced programming skills in Java, Python, or Scala.
• Deep expertise in cloud computing and distributed systems, with a preference for Google Cloud experience.
• Experience building data-intensive SaaS products or big data systems using Hadoop, Spark, and MapReduce.
• Knowledge of modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Google Bigtable.
