TL;DR

Technical Support Specialist: Manage IT incidents from end-user hardware to SaaS operations, coordinating resolutions to ensure uninterrupted business operations. Focus on troubleshooting networking, servers, telephony, and delivering high-level customer support aligned with service agreements.

Location: 100% onsite at Surrey, BC facilities (Vancouver area), very limited travel to other facilities or conferences possible.

Salary: CAD $34 - $38 (hourly)

What you will do

  • Partner with local business teams to resolve manufacturing-specific applications, equipment, LAN, Wi-Fi, directory services, and security tools.
  • Deliver high-level customer support for IT services, ensuring positive user experience.
  • Provide follow-up on incidents through IT service management processes and tools.
  • Set up new user hardware, software, accounts, and handle IT onboarding tasks.
  • Manage PC assets through their lifecycle and troubleshoot networking, server, and telephony issues.
  • Collaborate with internal IT experts on 2nd/3rd level incidents and participate in IT projects.

Requirements

  • 3+ years IT technical support experience in medium-to-large companies.
  • Experience delivering responsive support, including high-touch for executives.
  • Windows 10/11 troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding of VMware, Hyper-V, Active Directory, Azure, networking, and server administration.
  • SCCM/Intune/Microsoft Endpoint Management exposure.
  • Advanced remote control/management tools and ticketing systems (ServiceNow/Jira/Freshservice).
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, communication, and process management skills.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on VMware/Hyper-V experience.
  • Advanced MS Teams and Microsoft 365.
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or similar.
