What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to solve practical business problems.
• Partner with business leaders and technical experts to develop new data sources and modeling methodologies.
• Apply ML models with sound risk management to facilitate efficient and accurate financial decisions.
• Act as a technical mentor and expert across various cross-functional teams.
• Manage and optimize supervised learning models within production systems for vital applications.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States (The company is not sponsoring new employment authorization).
• PhD in a quantitative field with 1+ years of experience, or BS/MS in a quantitative field with 5+ years of experience in a related role.
• Strong proficiency in the PyData stack (numpy, scikit-learn, pandas, etc.).
• Solid fundamentals in software engineering, including test-driven development, code review, and refactoring.
• Ability to collaborate as a technical expert with both business leaders and technical teams.

Nice to have

• Experience solving problems within consumer lending or the fintech industry.
• Interest in neural network architectures for time series classification tasks.
• Experience with tools such as Spark, Kubernetes, Airflow, MLFlow, Chalk, BentoML, or DVC.
