What you will do

• Design, build, and implement data systems supporting ML and AI models for health insurance clients, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Develop tools for extracting, processing, and profiling healthcare data from EHRs, claims, pharmacy, and genomic sources.
• Collaborate with data scientists to transform large health and bioinformatics datasets into modeling-ready formats with high data quality.
• Build and maintain ETL infrastructure using SQL, AWS, Spark, and healthcare big data technologies.
• Ensure pipelines handle unique requirements of medical and biological data processing.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or quantitative discipline with 4+ years relevant experience.
• Deep expertise in health, medical, and bioinformatics data, including real-world healthcare datasets.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL in professional settings.
• Hands-on with big data tools like Apache Spark (PySpark), Databricks, Snowflake.
• Experience with data orchestration: Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
• Modern DevOps: CI/CD, IaC (Terraform), Docker/Kubernetes, AWS preferred.
