What you will do

• Perform testing of clinical DNA specimens using manual and automated methods.
• Follow standard operating procedures for specimen handling, processing, and test analysis.
• Document all quality control activities, instrument calibrations, and reagent preparations.
• Identify and take corrective actions for problems affecting test performance.
• Ensure proficiency testing is performed consistently with patient testing.
• Maintain high accuracy while meeting target workload requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, laboratory science, chemistry, physical, or biological sciences.
• Must meet CLIA, CAP, and New York State CLEP personnel standards criteria.
• Professional-level mathematical, computer, reasoning, and language skills.
• Ability to handle biohazardous body fluids and hazardous chemicals.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 10 pounds.
