Laboratory Specialist (Medical)

What you will do

• Maintain and implement the Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO standards.
• Organize and manage electronic and hardcopy files for SOPs, forms, and QA/QC manuals.
• Review and revise equipment-related SOPs and ensure current signatures and dates.
• Prepare branch-level quality and progress reports, including equipment qualification.
• Communicate QMS requirements and write technical documentation.
• Perform quality reviews based on established criteria to ensure adherence to clinical lab practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in laboratory science/medical technology with 3-5 years experience, OR high school diploma with 6 years experience.
• Proven experience implementing and managing Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Experience monitoring SOP performance based on CLSI, CAP, or ISO standards.
• Must be able to obtain a NAC clearance.
• Must be located in Atlanta, Georgia for onsite work.

Nice to have

• CLIA laboratory experience.
• Master's degree in laboratory science or medical technology.
• Prior experience with federal or state health agency laboratories.
• Familiarity with HIV lab specimen handling, testing, and ordering.
