Staff Storage Reliability Engineer (Ceph)

What you will do

• Deploy, configure, maintain, and scale Ceph clusters for a public object storage platform.
• Manage storage pools, placement groups, and other core Ceph components.
• Optimize performance, resolve bottlenecks, and improve resource utilization.
• Develop automation for Ceph deployments, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Diagnose complex storage and infrastructure issues in collaboration with development, operations, and systems teams.
• Follow Ceph developments, contribute to the community, and share technical knowledge.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Linux Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer.
• Deep understanding of Linux systems and networking.
• Professional knowledge of Ceph storage architecture and administration.
• Knowledge of file, object, and block cloud storage technologies.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, plus monitoring and observability.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies such as Docker, along with strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills.
