Senior SRE or DevOps Engineer in Networking-Heavy Infrastructure (Remote)

What you will do

• Own and evolve Webshare's production infrastructure across hundreds of servers and approximately 50 services.
• Lead the migration from Docker Swarm to Kubernetes in self-hosted, bare-metal environments.
• Maintain high availability and drive observability in collaboration with backend engineers.
• Establish Infrastructure as Code practices and improve CI/CD pipeline reliability.
• Participate in on-call rotations, lead infrastructure incident resolution, and drive post-mortem remediation.
• Build platform tooling that improves developer experience and reduces infrastructure toil.

Requirements

• Experience building and operating highly available infrastructure at scale under real production load.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in self-hosted or bare-metal environments.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code skills.
• Scripting and development experience.
• Proactive communication and ownership of infrastructure in collaboration with backend engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience leading a major infrastructure migration from planning through stabilization.
• Familiarity with Python or Go.
• Experience with proxy or networking-heavy infrastructure.
• Experience in small teams where developers share infrastructure responsibilities.
• Knowledge of edge clusters or split compute/edge architectures.
