What you will do

• Manage the strategic direction and execution of the Software and AI procurement category.
• Lead end-to-end procurement processes and negotiate contracts to secure cost savings and favorable terms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to drive innovation and collaboration.
• Conduct market analysis to identify risks and trends, feeding into the Technology Spend Category Strategy.
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews with internal stakeholders.
• Align sourcing activities with sustainability and ethical procurement goals in line with Plan Zero.

Requirements

• Proven experience in procurement, supplier management, or category management.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of delivering material commercial benefits.
• Analytical ability to source and interpret data to inform business decisions.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and constructively challenge the status quo.
• Must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
• Commitment to sustainability and ethical procurement practices.

Nice to have

• CIPS qualification or currently working towards one.
• Understanding of procurement systems such as Workday Strategic Sourcing.
• Experience in sourcing within the energy sector.
