What you will do

• Implement and maintain Python-based backend systems and microservices running on AWS.
• Collaborate with game and platform teams to align technical solutions with product requirements.
• Define and evolve backend APIs and service contracts in coordination with client engineers.
• Monitor production services and resolve performance issues using logs and observability tools.
• Ensure backend resilience and security by adhering to established best practices.
• Deploy and monitor cloud-native services using containers and CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Tornado.
• Strong understanding of web fundamentals (HTTP, REST APIs) and distributed systems concepts.
• Experience debugging and maintaining backend systems in production environments.
• Knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, Postgres, DynamoDB).
• Familiarity with Linux, Docker, and AWS cloud platforms.
• Must be based in Spain

Nice to have

• Exposure to Redis, including Redis Cloud or ElastiCache.
• Experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog and Kibana.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
• Interest in stateful and stateless game backend architectures.
