What you will do

• Co-own, design, and scale a high-performance storage layer for network monitoring data.
• Define and lead the execution of a multi-year technical roadmap for KDE Storage services to achieve industry-leading query speeds.
• Collaborate with engineering, support, and sales teams to establish platform-wide storage standards.
• Solve complex, high-visibility engineering problems related to data-intensive platform storage.
• Develop new network data observability and intelligence features.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• 7+ years of experience in backend development using Go, C, or Rust.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems, concurrency, and high-throughput data pipelines.
• Experience with object storage or distributed filesystems.
• Experience designing tiered storage strategies (Hot/Warm/Cold) and TTL-based data eviction at scale.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for a remote-first culture.

Nice to have

• Experience with the storage layer of Timeseries Databases.
