What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems handling high-throughput data pipelines.
• Define, implement, and test API endpoints (RESTful and GraphQL) with focus on AI/ML inference and end-user experience.
• Optimize system bottlenecks, database performance (SQL/NoSQL), and ensure predictable SLAs.
• Integrate AI/ML pipelines including text chunking, vector stores, and relevance optimization.
• Implement observability tooling for monitoring, logging, alerting, and validating model performance.
• Collaborate closely with CEO/CTO to shape service architecture, codebase, and team culture while shipping daily.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience building resilient, scalable services.
• 2+ years designing and maintaining production-grade systems from data ingestion to serving and monitoring.
• 2+ years with strongly-typed server-side language (e.g., Go, TypeScript) in production.
• 2+ years with SQL (and NoSQL) databases: schema design, query optimization, performance tuning.
• Experience with RESTful/GraphQL APIs, emphasizing AI/ML integration.
• Familiarity with AI/ML pipelines and RAG systems.
• Proficient in observability tooling.
