What you will do

• Support the manufacturing of complex machining, gear, and motor components across the supplier network.
• Conduct part risk assessments and implement mitigation plans with suppliers.
• Review and validate manufacturing processes to ensure full compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Lead DFX/DFMA activities for new products and provide data-based feedback to design engineering.
• Review and approve PPAP submissions and support PFMEA activities with suppliers.
• Analyze process capability data and implement AS9145 methodologies for a zero-defect goal.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or 7+ years of equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in turning, milling, grinding (OD/ID, surface, jig) and aerospace materials (carbon/stainless steels, aluminum alloys).
• Deep understanding of heat treatment, plating, NDT, and aerospace painting processes.
• Expert-level proficiency in GD&T and 3D modeling principles.
• Must have authorization to access U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Experience with NX and Team Center.
• Knowledge of gear and spline manufacturing and inspection processes.
• Experience with Zeiss CMM inspection methods and reports.
• Familiarity with AS9100 requirements in the aerospace industry.
